My Students… Thomas A. Edison High School

About half of the students I teach, back in Virginia, are native Spanish speakers, the majority are from Central America (El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras), and the rest are generally from Mexico, Chile, Peru, or Bolivia. The other half of my students are mostly from countries such as: Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, India, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Ghana, Russia, China, Korea, Germany, and Hungary. I love my students; they bring their worlds into our classroom and teach me about their lives while I attempt to teach them English and help them acclimate to life in a U.S. high school.
